Two men face drug charges after property searches

Drug charges can range in severity and may have varying levels of consequences if a conviction is made, but they can also leave those charged with a societal stigma that is hard to avoid, even if the person is found to be innocent.

Child molestation conviction nets Calif. man 255 years in prison

It is not unreasonable to suggest that child molestation might be considered one of the most heinous crimes, in California or elsewhere. That's why those accused of such a crime must arrange for as vigorous a defense as possible to ensure they are not unjustly convicted. A 27-year-old California man is going to experience the stigma of this crime firsthand after a jury recently returned a guilty verdict on his multiple child molestation charges. He will most likely spend the rest of his life in jail.

Couple faces child endangerment, drug charges

A California couple was recently arrested on drug charges as well as child endangerment charges. The endangerment charge came about when police officers claim to have found methamphetamine within reach of children in a couple's home. The arrest was part of a sting operation conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The operation took place around Wabash Avenue and Broadway in Eureka. In a press release, the task force announced that agents were still working an investigation into meth trafficking and sales within the county.

Two arrested on drug charges after warrant served

Although California is a groundbreaking state that provides people dealing with debilitating diseases the possible opportunity to legally possess small amounts of marijuana, this does not open the door for other illicit drugs. In Marina recently, two people were arrested for varying drug crimes after a warrant was served at a home. The 32-year-old man that was there was arrested for possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale and for being in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two California men charged with drug trafficking

The distribution of drugs spans the country and authorities are on constant watch for those transporting the drugs. Highway patrol keeps an eye on interstates for people moving drugs, such as cocaine and marijuana, from state to state. When police catch someone with drugs in their vehicle, even if they are not intent on trafficking them, the consequences for the alleged drug holder can be severe.
