Sexual assault allegations in nearby Sacramento lead to arrest

Our Roseville readers may have heard about the recent arrest in Sacramento of a 22-year-old man who is considered the prime suspect in a March 25 attack on a female - and possibly three other incidents that occurred over the last six months. The reports indicate that the man allegedly beat and sexually assaulted a female employee at a Subway sandwich shop - the same Subway shop where he was employed.

Details of this recent arrest are just beginning to develop, but law enforcement officials have stated that they have observed similarities in the most recent attack with attacks that took place in September and December of last year, as well as in January of this year. The victims in those alleged attacks apparently were able to provide a description of the suspect, and the police have indicated that the descriptions are a close match to the physical characteristics and appearance of the 22-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the March 25 attack.

Although there are were no immediate details on whether or not a weapon was used in these alleged attacks, the 22-year-old man will nonetheless be facing at least four felony charges as a result of his arrest for the March 25 attack - and he could face more if he is charged in connection with the other three attacks. The victim from the most recent attack - the suspect's co-worker - was reportedly shocked to learn that this man was the suspect.

It is not uncommon for law enforcement officials to try to connect suspects in these types of cases to other incidents if there are any similarities in the way the alleged crimes were carried out. For this 22-year-old man, all he can do now is wait for the results of a DNA analysis that are currently underway.
