Clown performer charged with sexual assault in California

Self control is a virtue in most cases. However, this can be difficult for many people in certain circumstances. This can be particularly difficult at times when people are dealing with their sexual urges. It turns out one man may have faced this challenge recently, and he is now facing sexual assault charges in California.

The suspect was arrested and charged in mid-November with sexual assault. Apparently, authorities have charged the man with a total of 10 counts of sex-related criminal charges. The 37-year-old man is being accused of victimizing two young girls, both under 10 years of age. The authorities are still investigating the case and are asking the public for information regarding any more possible victims.

The man was known in his local community for working as a clown performer during the weekends. The defendant was originally charged with assaulting one 9-year-old girl between November 2014 and November 2015. However, since originally being charged, the man has since been charged with allegations involving another victim, a 5-year-old girl. The man did not meet the alleged victims while working as a clown performer, and the man is also not related to the young girls, according to reports released to the public by police.

The criminal charges the man faces are quite serious and can result in severe punishment. If convicted, the man could receive a sentence of up to 175 years in prison. This is why the man may be starting to build a strong legal defense strategy in order to answer the sexual assault charges in California. There could be various holes in the prosecution's story that the defendant could potentially use to his benefit.
